If you’ve ever said, “I’m just not good with tech” – (firstly, that’s a limiting belief that we can work on, and secondly) you’re not alone. Many of the brilliant, heart-led women I work with feel exactly the same. They don’t want to face the tech side of their business, even though they know it would be helpful. (Side note: I’m like this with book keeping!)
But here’s the truth: you don’t need to be techy to use various AI tools, especially ChatGPT.
In fact, it can be one of the easiest and most supportive tools in your business toolkit – once you know how to use it in a way which is actually helpful.
In this blog, I’ll explain:
- What ChatGPT actually is (in plain English)
- How you can use it in your business
- Why it’s a game-changer for beginners
- And how to get started with my free step-by-step guide
What Is ChatGPT?
In the simplest terms, ChatGPT is an AI-powered assistant. Think of it like a helpful virtual team member who can:
- Write content
- Answer questions
- Help with planning
- Create ideas
- Save you hours every week
It’s not magic – but it is incredibly helpful when used the right way for you.
Five Ways ChatGPT Can Help in Your Business
1. Writing Social Media Captions
Struggle with what to say online? ChatGPT can suggest caption ideas, rewrite your drafts, or help you sound more like you. With some basic training and the right prompt, you can repurpose your existing content, or create social captions from scratch that will resonate with your audience.
2. Creating Blog Post Outlines
Not sure where to start with blogging? You can ask ChatGPT to structure your blog, brainstorm topics, or write a rough first draft you can edit. And currently, Google has said that it won’t penalise content that is AI created because it cares more about the quality of the content than the author.
3. Planning Your First Freebie or Offer
You can use ChatGPT to brainstorm titles, structure a checklist or mini course, or even help name your new offer. If you train ChatGPT first so it really understands your audience, it can help you like a colleague in terms of idea generation.
4. Replying to Customer Emails or FAQs
Yes, ChatGPT (and other AI tools) can help you write professional, friendly replies without spending hours stressing over every word. If you’re not yet ready to share access to your inbox, then you can copy and paste the emails you have received (note: ALWAYS remove personal, confidential and identifiable information first) or the key points and have ChatGPT suggest replies based on your tone, brand voice etc.
5. Boosting Your Confidence with Content
Sometimes we just need a starting point. ChatGPT can be your brainstorming buddy to get you past writer’s block. As a morning person, I find I rely on AI a lot more in the afternoons to help me with any copywriting or brainstorming.
“But I’m Not Good with Tech…”
(Limiting belief.)
You don’t need to be. If you can:
- Type into Google
- Copy and paste
- Open a web browser
- Remove confidential, sensitive, personal information from documents (this really is critical)
… then you can use ChatGPT.
And I’ve made it even easier with a free beginner-friendly guide that walks you through everything you need to know to get started and to use ChatGPT in a way which takes you beyond basic copywriting.
